Chapter 90: Greed

Logan’s pov

“I don’t know how you fell in love with her.

But I remember how you came to me fuming with anger ad jealousy” she said with a smile.

I remember it all, what she is saying right now I remember it like it was yesterday.

“You begged me to create a mate bond between the two of you, do you remember?” she asked laughing.

“When I said no you broke your promise to her that you would keep her little project a secret.

The one she was doing so she could be with Sebastian forever” she said and then sighed.

“You knew how much it would hurt me to hear it. That my only daughter is planning to be a vampire, an abomination” she added.

I just stood there frozen at the new discovery; I am the actual villain.

She trusted me and saw me as her friend, and I can’t believe that I betrayed her.

I am the villain in her love story and now it all makes sense.

“The reason you are cursed was because you were willing to pay any price if it meant that you would mate with my daughter” she said and then scoffed.

“A werewolf wanting to be with a Hale witch,

that really pissed me off which is why you were cursed.

You now understand what your true curse is don’t you?” she asked me.

I now understood everything, I wanted to be with Scarlet and didn’t care if that’s what she wanted.

Her mother lied to me, the coven members lied to me and told me they will make us mates.

Well, they didn’t lie to me, but they didn’t tell me the whole truth.

I was so way in over my head that they used my greed and jealousy against me.

I am the reason why Scarlet and I have been cursed for centuries.

They used me to punish me, Scarlet, and Sebastian for everything.

I am the real villain, had I not betrayed Scarlet this wouldn’t have happened.

It was my betrayal that set everything in motion.

“One shouldn’t be greedy son, accept the things you can’t have,” she said and then started laughing.

“She is with him isn’t she? She Is with that vampire?” she asked me.

From the looks of it she already knows that right now Charlotte is with Sebastian.

“She is now with her one true love and unless you help me then even now you will lose her,” she said and then smiled.

“I mean yours is a curse and a blessing, you get to be with her in all her lives.

You get to love her even if its for a short period of time.

But what do you think will happen if she finds out the truth?” she asked me.

“What will happen when they both find out the truth?” she asked again circling around me.

“Sebastian will kill you; he will kill you for separating him from his love.

Not only that, his anger wont end on you.

But I am sure he will take it out on everyone you love,” she said.

“Think about it, for centuries he looked for her and for centuries he had to watch her die.

I can only imagine the punishment he would give you for those mistakes,” she said, and I looked at her.

“What do you want from me?

why the hell are you doing this?

Me and that guy are two different people,” I said, and she chuckled.

“You didn’t seem to think so when it came to Ryder.

You were more than happy to believe that he was you and you were him.

Then why accept only the good?” she asked me.

“What do you want?” I asked her again.  

She smiled and just shrugged as if she is going to say something that isn’t a big deal.

“Help me kill Scarlet once more,

I want you to be the one to kill her this time around.

Kill her before she remembers that you are the true villain of this story,” she said.

“Why?

She is your daughter so why are you so hellbent on making her suffer?” I asked her and she just shrugged.

“It doesn’t matter, my reasons don’t matter. Will you help me or not?” she asked me, and I shook my head.

“I am not Ryder, or Damien or any of the reincarnations.

I am Logan Spade, if I have to pay for their sins then I will.

but I will not make the same mistake ever again,” I said and as I was walking away I heard her scoff.

“She is with him, soon she will fall in love with him again.

And once she does, once she realizes her feelings for him all her memories will come back.

The moment she looks at him and knows that she is in love,” she stopped.

“That is the moment when all her memories of all her past lives will return.

Once again you will be the villain in their love story,” she said, and I nodded.

“I am okay with it; I am fine with her hating me.

I will bear the brunt of her hatred and get my punishment.

My actions led to her suffering in this world, and I want to stop that,” I said, and she looked at me.

“I will help her break this curse no matter what.

I am fine with her hating me forever, but I will help her break this curse,” I said and then turned around to leave.

She started laughing again, does she have to laugh like some villain of a terribly written movie.

“What If I told you that you need to die in order for that to happen?

Are you prepared to die for her to break the spell?” she asked me, and I looked at her confused.

“Yes, for her to break the spell you need to die.

You say you are not Damien or Ryder and I believe that.

Damien was selfish while Ryder was selfless, but they both had one thing in common,” she said and then pointed at me.

“You have it too, greed, even though they knew the consequences they didn’t want to let go of their greed,” she said and then chuckled.

“Ryder died with her, that is why he didn’t mind dying but what about you?

Are you prepared to die so she could spend forever with her one true love?” she asked me.

Am I prepared for that?
