BRIAN'S POV

I quickly pressed Blair to the floor, instructing her to lay down quietly.

Luckily, the lights were turned off, and I couldn't in that moment, love Blair more than I did.

I had insisted to keep the lights on, since we still waited for dinner.

This had to be the longest night of our lives, and I couldn't help feel sympathy for Blair.

This was not at all the life I envisioned for her, or myself.

I had enjoyed peace this three years and I hadn't expected the life I so energetically ran from to catch up with me, almost the very minute she walks into my life.

I pulled out a gun, heading downstairs to join Steven.

“Great, I see you have things under control,” I said, as he shot the last man in the head upon my arrival.

“Yes, but there's more of them, we have to go,” he said, running into the apartment.

We hurriedly got Blair and headed for the vehicle. We were all in our seats, I in the driver's seat and Blair at the back.
