CHAPTER 3: HOW?

Things happened so fast. The moment she was dragged outside the store which Estelle noticed was a secret underground for traffickers, she was placed into a car and sedated.

When she woke up, she found herself in a completely different place that she didn't think was in the world. It was obviously a room but the size was obviously more larger than her apartment. The furnitures were blinding her with their elegance.

She stared down at herself and sighed when she was still in that tiny dress given to her. She also sighed in relief when she noticed she wasn't having any funny feeling in her body except the banging headache she was having.

Just then, the door opened and a man walked in, another followed after him and Estelle's eyes widened. She could recognize the other man, of course why wouldn't she?

That was the man she had stained with her ketchup that same day. What was he doing here? Like...what was even happening?

" Hi, are you okay?" The first man asked, standing beside the bed she sat. Estelle almost screamed at his gorgeousness, he had a pretty round face like a lady's, she couldn't believe how pretty his eyes were too, who were this gorgeous men and where did they come from? Certainly not from this earth, right?

He was also looking much more calmer than the other one. Estelle managed to glance at him but the glare he was throwing at her way didn't seem as a good omen at all. He was seriously and angrily glaring at her.

" Her being okay or not is none of our business. Do we have to bother about something we bought now?" He asked. He was the one with the gorgeous eyes Estelle was gawking over earlier that day.

Estelle thought she wasn't hearing right. Bought? And was he referring to her as a thing?

" Neil." The calmer looking man called in a scolding tone but the respect in his voice could also be heard.

" Who are you guys and what am I doing here?" She finally spoke out. She was tired of them staring at her like she was some kind of an experimental object.

" I'm Lair and this is my...erm, friend, Neil." The calmer one with the blue eyes said. " Actually, we were the ones who took you away from the auction event."

" Bought you off, actually." Neil chipped in.

" What?" Estelle hissed.

" What is it?" Lair asked.

" You bought me? Why would you do that?" She asked again and the two men glanced at themselves.

Lair was about to talk but Neil cut him off with an annoyed look. " Hey human, listen carefully. First of all, if we hadn't bought off your unlucky ass, you'd have been chilling and screaming in a old, potbellied man's bed. Do you get that? And, we didn't buy you for just any reason like pity or something, hell, why would we even waste money to buy something like you?"

" Neil, stop being harsh."

" Excuse me, because you bought me away from there because of some stupid reasons I don't know doesn't mean you should keep referring me as a thing. I'm not a thing, I move, I breath–"

" Maybe you wouldn't any little time from now." Neil cut her off and her eyes widened again.

" Neil, stop. Okay...can you just allow me talk to her? We have no progress so far with this banting." Lair scoffed.

" Look," the Gamma turned to the furious Estelle. " We actually have a solid reason for our action, I mean, buying you."

" What reason? What stupid reason would make you buy me?" Estelle hissed and this time, dark angry clouds flashed across the Gamma's features.

" Are you so dumb? If we hadn't, you didn't know someone else would have bought you on a more cheaper price? We saved your damn ass so shut up and let him talk before we do this the hard way! Don't make us regret losing such amount of money!" Neil looked like he'd run out of patience any minute from then.

Even though she managed to talk back frequently, Estelle wouldn't lie she kind of felt too suppressed in the midst of these men. They looked too different, seemed to different and without waiting for a soothsayer, she already knew there was something about them. Something that she'd be too surprised to know.

" Listen Estelle..."

" How do you know my name?"

" Freaking shut up. Are you sick?" Neil growled at her and Estelle could swear that growl seemed familiar with the ones she heard from wild animals on television.

" You're getting her terrified. How do you want her to be when she finally hears what we have to say?" Lair asked accusingly at the yellow eyed man who muttered something under his breath as he threw his face to the other side.

" Till I'm done with what I have to say, I really do not want any interruption, Estelle. I'd really appreciate that." Lair said. It seemed like a simple permission but the tone he used made it seem like he was ordering her instead.

" As I said, we bought you for a reason. Neil saw the potentials we needed in you at the auction and that was why we did what we did. Buying you. We could have just picked another lady but we grew tired of futile attempts the whole time and that was why we decided it had to be you this time. For some reason we still don't know." Lair paused.

He could see the hunger on the blonde lady's face. Not the hunger for food but the extreme hunger to bombard him with questions.

" We actually aren't complete. There's someone who's a vital part of us and needs to be among us here, and as you see, he isn't here with us and we need him to be here but how do we do that? See, you're not the first woman to have come by us and helped us with this but for some reasons still unknown to me, I feel you'd be the one to help."

" Go straight to the point and let her know what she has to do. My hands are itching." Neil muttered behind them.

Lair paused before continuing. " There's a cemetery in this town, Estelle. And we need you to uproot a body for us." Lair finally said and the shock on Estelle's face could clearly be seen.

" What? Are you both insane? This idiot behind you has been bluffing about saving me and now, you're telling me to do this? Are you both crazy? What's the difference of chilling and screaming in the bed of a old, potbellied man and doing this? At least, it could have been much more better." Estelle yelled, staring at Neil as she yelled the last part.

" It wouldn't have been better, Estelle. Listen, after this you're not just going to be empty handed. You'll be given any amount you want after you do this, I promise." Lair said, earning a sarcastic grunt from Estelle.

" Hold on, do you both think I'm a fool? You mentioned about some other ladies doing this, right? You gave them any amount they wanted too?"

Lair's eyebrows twitched. " W...we did."

" No, you didn't. You didn't because they sure couldn't do the task and that's why you asked me to do it now. Or wait, were they even alive to ask of the unlimited amount they wanted? For goodness sake, the only cemetery in this town was locked and shut down years ago after the records of deaths it had. Now, you expect me to go there? And only ladies? Why can't you both go instead? You're both more agile and stronger than the ladies you've been sacrificing."

" Estelle..."

She cut the Gamma off. " And do you guys eat dead bodies? What do you need a probably decayed body for? Maybe that's why this angry looking friend of yours told me I wouldn't be breathing any little time from now. I'm not a fool, okay? I know what you both are trying to do and I'd never submit to your request. Know that and know peace!" Estelle ranted with a look of finality on her face.

Lair looked defeated but the Beta, Neil looked like he hadn't heard any of what Estelle rambled about. He was looking unconcerned and unshaken.

" As Lair said, you'd have to go to that cemetery downtown, find a way to get in yourself and uproot that body for us. We'd direct you on the right location to dig the body out from. Tommorow night would be a perfect time as there's a huge celebration in town so everyone would be perfectly busy. Understand?" Neil growled coldly.

" You didn't hear what I said?"

" I actually do not give a fuck! You'll do what we say and not vice versa, do you understand that?" Neil replied hotly. Both parties glared at themselves for few minutes until Estelle spoke up again, the stubbornness in her eyes hadn't disappeared.

" I'm not going to do it."

" You will." Neil spoke.

" I said, I won't."

" And I said, you will. For fuck's sake, I'll get back the damn money used to buy you and fling you back at them to do as they wish. You want that?" Neil threatened.

" Do it." Estelle said, her voice low but high with stubbornness. The Gamma completely looked like he just wanted to go lay his head somewhere, if it weren't for Neil, he'd have surely let the stubborn human go but Neil badly wanted their Alpha back. They would never be able to get hold of Lilith if the Alpha wasn't back and time was running out.

They had seven years and the due date was almost getting closer. Too close. That was what was getting Neil too riled up.

" Okay. It's fine then." Neil suddenly said.

Even Estelle knew he had something up his sleeve. " I'm actually wondering where you'd get the money for your little sister's surgery if you refuse. Twenty years of porn wouldn't even be able to get you half of the money, you do know that right?" Neil smirked and Lair turned to Estelle whose hard expression was already starting to crumble like a pile of arranged cards that was hit mistakenly.

" You're so evil." She threw at Neil who nodded, arranging his already arranged collars.

" I know that." He confirmed with a sly look. He wasn't even smiling.

" So, get ready. It's all fine to be our guest for now until tomorrow evening. You won't be allowed to go home or go outside as long as you're here. You'd be here in this room till the next evening." The Beta said before exiting the room.

" Goodluck." Lair muttered, exiting the room too.

A few seconds after they left, Estelle broke down. How had her life suddenly changed overnight? How come everything happened so fast?
