TRISTIAN'S POV

Six years ago

Over the past three months, I had not only grown as a man, I had grown as a brand. I was getting customers nationwide even though my company was new. It made me excited of what the future held, of how better I was going to become.

I was focusing on my work, but from time to time loneliness struck, and it made me recollect what Kayla Smith had done to me. I had concluded that all women were the same, and although Kayla had made it clear that nothing was wrong with me and she just wanted to set her life straight, I still boxed her in that category.

I was focusing on my work for the time being, and I wanted women to be a thing of the past. I had come this far without time, and I wanted it to remain so. I wanted my life to be devoid of them.

Smiling at my housekeeper, I urged him to pour more wine into my glass.
