Chase was standing there stunned, staring at Cara’s retreating back. He couldn’t bring himself to take another step further to go after her.

She looked scared. Damn! She looked terrified. And the reason behind the fear in those eyes of hers was no

one else but him, Again.

His heart felt a pang of hurt almost numbing his every other senses. What is this pain?

He came out of his shock when he heard Sapphire calling her name and started running after her. He also wanted to go after her to see if she is okay, to ask if she is scared because of him. To tell her not to be scared of him.

But her scared face came in front of his eyes and he could not move forward. He felt John putting his hand on his shoulder.

He turned around to look at Law who seemed deep in thoughts as if he was confused about something. But Chase didn’t wait to think what it could be and crouched down in front of him, grabbing him by his collar.
