An immediate silence followed after Shane’s loud question. Audrey was alerted when she sensed agitation in his voice, thus she hurriedly went to the living room only to find Lucy with a blank expression on her face, sitting comfortably on her seat while staring at the actor who was glaring at her with clenched fists.

Audrey did her best to contain her emotion inside her when someone knocked on the door. She was about to mourn again after the joyous moments she had recently. Mrs. Vargas’ giggles echoed through Audrey’s ears. Her eyes were focused on the wall in front of her while Shane’s hands tighten its grip around her. She felt his chin on her right shoulder and his breath was fanning her neck.
