His phone buzzed on the desk beside him. He raised a brow when he recognized the school number on the screen. "It's the first day. What trouble did she get herself into already?" He sighed as he picked up the call. "Jayce."

"Good morning, Jayce." He recognized Melonie's voice. "I apologize if I'm interrupting you in anything."

"Not at all." He said. "Is everything alright with Myra? The boys?"

"Oh, from what I heard, the boys are doing alright." Melonie seemed to hesitate, however.

"Did something happen to Myra?" He asked again as he slowly rose from his seat.

"I need you to come down here." She lowered her voice. "You need to see this for yourself." Her words were cryptic to him. Was Myra okay? What happened to his daughter?
