I don't know how to describe my state of mind right now. I can even say that I'm kind of confused by the twirls of various emotions and thoughts running wildly inside my head. On one hand, I was scared to death. After all, I'm still locked inside a car in the middle of nowhere with three supernatural dangerous men. Alex's POVI watched Eliane walk confidently inside the ladies' room followed by my sister. Since the day Maya went missing, I discovered a completely different side of my mate. The cute cry baby I came to know the last few weeks was long gone. In her place stood a stronger and more confident girl. She didn't let her emotions take over and sometimes, she was even the one calming the rest of us. It was obvious how devastated she was by the loss of Maya and I could see that she was feeling guilty too. Maya POVSLAPI jolted up, feeling a hot sting on my left cheek. I tried to touch it to ease the growing pain but I couldn't move. I tried again before realizing that my hands were tied. I blinked a couple of times before trying one more time to free myself. And this time I realized that my feet were tied too.
