I could've left earlier without anyone knowing about it. However, I knew pretty well that it would just be a futile attempt, because Lorenzo and my father had all the resources they needed. They only need to lf a finger to know where I will be.

I know it was a rhetorical question and he already knew my answer. He was just asking probably because he was surprised that I visited him.
