Seeing that someone had already gotten my phone before me made me worry a little. What would they possibly need my phone for? and how influential were they to have gotten her to release my phone? They were usually very strict about this!

As I was thinking about this I heard the receptionist say, “ Why do you have to check for your phone on the ground when you could just–“ she started to say, almost standing up but Ray-khan immediately got up, covering me while I peered carefully at the box.

“ – nothing, just...don’t worry. You can sit,” he interrupted, placing his hands on her shoulder and gently placing her back on her seat. I rolled my eyes at her giggles knowing how special she must've been feeling.

After making sure she was sitting, Ray-khan looked at me, hoping that I would have taken my phone but when I said, “It’s not here,” I almost laughed at the expression he shot me. It kinda felt like he was saying, “So you made me do that for nothing?”
