CHAPTER SIX

                                  I open my eyes and my mother's smiling face comes into view. I cover my mouth with my hand as I yawn. I straighten my back jerkily. 

      Wasn't I sitting on the edge of the bed? Dad never comes into this room, not at least in front of me. A smile appears on my face. It fades as soon as I recall our last night negotiation. 

      I climb down the bed and run to my room barefoot. I push the door and walk over to the nightstand and grip the photo frame with both hands. 

     I look at his smiling face, his dark blue eyes. I feel a swift of air around me. I smile, forgetting all my problems. This is the time of the day I enjoy the air around me. It will look insanity to the watcher but I don't care. He has gone far away in the sky but I can feel h
