Chapter 15

Anya slowly started to feel the warmth of her body as it lay comfortable on the supportive mattress. A small weight in her stomach caused no discomfort. She could smell the fresh dew that lay on the grass outside and the night animals heading to their burrows. The morning chickadee’s singing their sweet melody. She smiled warmly before realizing she wasn’t in the tent.

Shooting up her eyes scanned the area as panic raced through her. She had no idea where she was or how she got here. The fear of the hospital room coming back to her as her breaths came in heaves. Her chest starts to get heavy as yet another panic attack strikes. Alaska began barking causing Derek to jump up.

“Its okay.” He cooed as his arms snaked around her. She jumped at his touch but as soon as she saw who it was she turned in his embrace to hold him.
