CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT: IN DISARRAY
Gustavan opened his eyes and found himself chained on his bed. He tugged at it forcefully and winced in pain. The pain meant he's not dreaming, so this isn't the work of the well-regarded Queen of Dreams, Ruler of Dimensia, Queen Wisteria. He looked around and knew well that this wasn't the work of the Darken Great Leader Carmichael, who is also known as the King of all Beasts and Monsters. Nor is it the scheming of the virtuous Clans of the Association of Faith Healers and Witches.
The only creatures capable of catching him so quickly are those who can travel through space, the Fae. They regard themselves as magical Porters and Gatekeepers. Now, why they would do this, Gustavan wondered.
