Chapter Seven

My mum dished out our meal and served us herself like she always does. Ana always offered to help, but mum would constantly reject her help. 

She was used to serving dishes, it was how she lived with my dad for 20 years. She would always dish his meals and some times they feed each other.

Serving us made her fill that void in her heart, she was always sad but she tried as much to hid it from us. But the glimmer in her eyes had died out, since dad left us. It has been nine months, but his presence was still quite felt around the house. 

"Mum, I promise to go for the interview." I said to her as I placed my hand on her arm. 

She gave me a warm heartfelt look, and touch my head-

"I know you will do great at the interview." Then she kissed my forehead.

The little smile on her face made me felt a bit at ease. It wasn't as wide as it used to be when dad was around, but it better than the one she had during the month dad left us. Her f
