Chapter 100
Audrey did her best to contain her emotion inside her when someone knocked on the door. She was about to mourn again after the joyous moments she had recently. It made her realized one thing, sadness always accompanied happiness and the two of them were never separated from each other. “Miss, Madam is on the phone and would like to speak with you.” It was the housekeeper’s voice. “All right. Give me a sec,” Audrey replied and carefully wiped her face. She opened the door and hand out her hand. “You can leave now,” she said after getting the wireless phone from Rebecca who was worriedly checking out her puffy eyes. “Yes, Miss. If you need anything just let me know,” the housekeeper responded and bowed her head before walking away.

Chapter 101
Mrs. Vargas’ giggles echoed through Audrey’s ears. Her eyes were focused on the wall in front of her while Shane’s hands tighten its grip around her. She felt his chin on her right shoulder and his breath was fanning her neck. Audrey bit her lower lip to resist laughing due to the unbearable tickling sensation. “You smell so nice,” Shane whispered and nibbled on her ear. The gesture made her gasped which caused the other to smirk. “Why are you frowning, baby?” He asked her while rubbing the tip of his nose on her nape. “Hmm…” Audrey let out a moan when Shane planted small and soft kisses on her skin. “Shane… let me go,” she mumbled but couldn’t manage to struggle a little to support what she said. She just stood there and enjoyed what he was doing despite wanting him to let go.

The auditorium was filled with cheers and claps from all the people who came for the premiere night of Shane Vargas’ newest movie. The actor was flooded with praises for his phenomenal talent, surpassing the director’s and producer’s expectations again. His acting was always flawless but the role he got this time was not so easy for just anyone to take. The superstar and movie king nailed it in a blink of an eye. He did great thus he thought he deserved a break. The problem was the movie was so good and had the potential for being the biggest hit of the year. And this could mean that he wouldn’t get any vacation yet until his schedule was cleared. “Congratulations, Mr. Vargas. You surprised me again. Watching a movie where you play the main role is never tiring. You’re an epitome of a perfect actor, befitting to be called the king in the industry,” the movie producer, Mr. Reid, prais

Chapter 103
“Thank you, everyone! The pre-open is finally over. Without your help, nothing is going to be accomplished by now. Everybody clap your hands to thank yourselves!” Audrey said while standing in front of her subordinates. The staff clapped their hands with a joyful smile on their faces. She smiled and raised a glass of wine before continuing her speech. “Now that we survive in the five-days pre-open event, it's time for us to give ourselves a break we all deserve! Let’s raise our glasses and cheers for our success! Cheers!” She exclaimed and signaled for the music to be played. Nathan was sighing as he turned on the speaker in a minimum volume with some random party music. He watched his boss mingled with the others while leading the rest to get drunk. Audrey had been in high spirits since two days ago and Nathan had nothing to say about it. He was glad she didn’t look glum despite the news

Chapter 104
It was Friday night. The next day would be their most awaited- weekends. Everyone in the restaurant was having fun with loud noises as they spoke with each other. That included Audrey who had a few bottles of beer and several glasses of wine already. Francesca was unexpectedly a heavy drinker. She drank a lot but was still in her sane. While Nathan, although he did have some wine for himself, he chose to keep quiet in the corner and watch the others enjoy instead. As much as he wanted to get drunk, he couldn’t or his boss would have to sleep on the floor if no one could drive her home. “Auddie, can you still drink?” Nathan asked when the lady walked towards him with a wide smile on her face. She was surprisingly social when she had alcohol in her system. “I’m fine, Nate. Don’t mind me. Why don’t you join Francesca?” Aud

‘No, this isn’t right,’ was the first thought that came to Audrey’s mind when Nathan’s lips pressed against hers. She pulled her senses together to push the guy away as she subconsciously wiped her lips with the back of her hands. Sure thing, Nathan saw how she did it and could only laugh about it inside his head. The answer was clear: he stood no chance in Audrey’s heart when his rival already had all the vacancies in it. “Nate, why did you do that?” Audrey asked him. She didn’t sound angry nor disgusted. She did her best to keep calm and avoid any unnecessary conflict with the other. Her eyes caught a glimpse of Nathan’s lonely gaze. “Nate…” “Audrey,” Nathan started while grabbing her hands and locked them in between

Chapter 106
Shane watched Stephanie smirked in front of him. There were no people around in the driveway, but he could not care less about his action. The singer was not as simple as he thought. Who would have thought it was her who’s causing trouble for his relationship with Audrey? He wouldn’t think it was Stephanie if not for Lucy who tried to clear her name from his suspicion. The photos from the hotel, the news headline targeting Audrey, and the accident from five years ago were all surprisingly related to her. Shane wanted to have her pay double, but he needed evidence. And just like how he expected, Stephanie simply admitted all of them. There was only one question that remained unspoken; Why would she do that when he hadn’t met her before he supposedly got married to Audrey? “I don’t have any spare time to idle with you,” Stephanie sai

“Did you recorded that?” Lucy asked Jericho wh was busy doing something on his computer. “We can’t let this chance go or Shane would throw a fit that we couldn’t stop,” she added while impatiently waiting for a reply. Her fingers were anxiously tapping on the desk which annoyed the other. “Lucy, if you don’t want to get scolded then stop pestering me while I’m working,” Jericho responded while sucking on a lollipop. They were supposed to be hiding quietly inside the van parked a few meters away from Shane and Stephanie who were now having a touching moment. “Don’t make an unnecessary movement, or she’ll notice where here. Shane tried his best to drag and confront Stephanie here. If she finds out we’re eavesdropping, she’ll go wild for sure.” Lucy shrugged. She didn’t imagine her doing such a thing. For y

Chapter 108
The function hall was filled with media reporters coming from all over the city with their crew in tow. It was late in the evening, yet they couldn’t miss the rare opportunity to be present during one of the celebrity’s press conference. Especially when it was someone who never had any press con before unless it was regarding promoting his movies and shows. Not when it was about his personal life which people were more curious about. Camera flashes stopped and the hustling of the crowd slowly went down when the superstar and movie king, Shane Vargas stepped on stage. He was wearing the same suit he had when he attended the movie premiere earlier. With his inborn beauty and appeal, he took over everyone’s attention. The noise inside the hall died down when he prompted to speak on the mic prepared for him. “Good evening, everyone. Thank you for coming,” Shane started with his ‘charming tone’, ac

Chapter 109
It had been a month since the last time Audrey saw Shane in person. She was missing him so much though she couldn’t lift her phone to dial his number nor compose a message. Her long face became her everyday mask. The staff in the restaurant were never tired of cheering her on. Not that she wanted to worry them, she could still do what she had to. And her current situation was something she had to face alone. She decided to trust Shane and while she was at it, Audrey thought it would be wiser not to bother the actor in the meantime. Calling him should be easy for her but who knew? Her action might cause him more trouble. She decided to wait, and she would endure it how long it may take. “Auddie, aren’t you going to take a break? You can let Nathan take your place for a while. You need to eat,” Francesca who became more talkative than usual said. She rarely talked in Italian thus the others could easily
