Chapter 31 : Frozen Feelings
They drove home in silence, and Angela was unable to discuss what caused Leonardo to become enraged and pull them from the venue. She wasn't in the right place to inquire as to what had occurred. Only Mrs. Vera had inquired."Is it still early to go home, Leonardo?" Mrs. Vera wondered if anything was wrong."I'm not feeling well, mom." Leonardo cut her off and remained silent.Leonardo went straight to his room and requested a bottle of wine from Angela. Angela wanted to oppose, but she knew something was boiling inside Leonardo's heart and mind, so she let it flow. Leonardo drank quietly in the corner of the room, crossing his legs on the floor. And Angela decided to sit at the edge of the bed near the door. She kept staring at Leonardo silently, afraid to say a word that might rile his temper."Traitor," Leonardo murmured."Who?" Angela asked."I couldn’t believe they could do that to me." Leonardo groaned, "Trying to scam the art exhibit was unbelievably unacceptable to me. He’s my

Chapter 32 : Mud Book
The path up the cliff was steep and rocky beneath the dense forest and bushes. The unpassed path was also dangerous for Leonardo, who was blind. He was determined, however, to touch the ground where Esmeralda had died a long time ago. "It's too difficult to pursue the location, Leonardo," but Leonardo was not returning. Angela slid and fell to the ground a few meters away from the spot."Ouch!" Angela cried as she placed her hand on the ground to keep herself from slamming her entire body."Angela!" Leonardo screamed, concerned. "What's going on?""I slipped and fell," Angela explained in pain, "but I'm fine now.""Did you injure yourself?""I got a cut on my palm, but I'm fine.""Are you sure?""Certainly."Leonardo didn't realize that Angela's palm was bleeding and she was simply gripping it tightly to control the blood flow. Leonardo told her to look up at the veranda behind his studio and estimate the exact spot on the ground where Esmeralda's body had been broken and twisted as t

Chapter 33 : A Step To The Past
Leonardo remained silent after hearing Angela's confession. "How come you hit him with a rock?" "He wanted to rape me," Angela recalled, shaking her head. Leonardo gritted his teeth as he listened to Angela's story. She was certain she had killed Fredrick, but she needed to be certain. So, she asked Leonardo for permission to return to the cliff. But Leonardo had decided to accompany her. The ground where Fredrick was bloodily lying was wet from the rain, and he was nowhere to be found. Angela was tortured by not knowing what happened to Fredrick. Did he survive, or was he discovered and brought to a hospital? She reflected. They did not stay on the cliff for long. Angela was too nervous, so Leonardo let her go to her room early. But Angela couldn't sleep. She spent the entire afternoon calling all of the hospitals in the city using the directory, but she couldn't find Fredrick. And they still don't know what happened to him the next day. Angela dialed Fredrick's number, but no one

The morning came, but Angela hadn’t slept after opening the first page of Esmeralda’s diary. She didn’t have the guts to read it. The only person who had the right to hear its content was Leonardo. The lobby from the pink room was quiet, and it gave Angela creepy feelings. But she was aware that if anything happened to the diary, Mrs. Vera would be held accountable because she had the spare key to the room.Angela heard the conversation from outside the house. Leonardo and Mrs. Vera were talking to a stranger. The man was tall and masculine. He was probably between the ages of 36 and 40. Chapter 35 : A Man in the Dark
"Why are you so interested in acquiring Esmeralda's diary, mom?" Leonardo's face was serious, but Mrs. Vera couldn't give him a satisfactory reason for taking the diary. Mrs. Vera simply stated that she was looking for it to keep for Esmeralda, which is insufficient for Leonardo, but she persists. She kept on rubbing her hands. The night had gotten colder, but Angela was feeling hot on her face and ears. The tension was unavoidable."How about paying attention to what's written on the page where Esmeralda mentioned her concern about my father?" Leonardo suggested to his mother that he ask Angela to read for Mrs. Vera. In the middle of Angela's reading, her mother burst into tears, trembling and leaning against the wall for support, clearly devastated by Esmeralda's fear of her husband."Do you have any idea about dad sneaking into Esmeralda's room, mom?" Angela's mind was jumbled up with so many theories about what happened to Esmeralda. Everyone could be a suspect because almost everyone close to Esmeralda had one or two motives for killing her. And Lara was the most likely suspect's identity. Lara could have pushed Esmeralda off the veranda because she is disrespectful and insensitive to her feelings, and she is madly in love with Leonardo to make her way in Leonardo's life. However, Esmeralda's diary entry mentioning another mysterious stalker had removed all possibility of her suspicion of her. Angela became entrapped in her desire to uncover the truth about Esmeralda's past as she analyzed her. Angela stood up and walked to the window facing the back of the mansion after a few minutes of lying in bed unable to sleep. Angela's eyes had been drawn to the beauty of the night by the brightness of the moon that covered all of the orchards. The enchanted picturesque of the moon above the glittering city lights captivated her. She was

Many theories had arisen, but Leonardo cut them short when he said, "They only wanted to get the Crying Lady painting," and then he asked Angela to accompany him to his room. Angela could see herself on Leonardo's bed, coiling her naked body around Leonardo's naked body. She tried to erase the flashing memory, but it didn't fade. "How are you doing?" Chapter 38 : The Lady In White
"You'll suffer from snatching my boyfriend. You're a snake," Lara hissed and growled in Angela's ears. Angela turned into an ice cube as she welcomed all of Lara's profanities. She'd never been embarrassed or humiliated in public before. As a certified nurse, she earned the respect of those who believe nurses are unsung heroes, but not Lara. And some customers had their ears and eyes on them. "You're such a vile bitch," Lara exclaimed, wanting to crush Angela's pride and demanding a fight. "It's over, Lara!" Leonardo slammed his fist on the table. "You and I are done! Guard, take this woman away from me! " Two guards grabbed Lara's elbow and led him out of the restaurant. Lara was screaming and cursing as the guards tried to calm her down. Leonardo and Angela were in the car driving quietly a moment later. They were still stunned by Lara's sudden appearance and murderous rage. Angela was feeling bad about what she had done to Lara. She also sinned by having sex with Leonardo. "Wa

Chapter 39 : Wedding Gown
Angela's steps were quick as she descended the orchard's stairs. She had to check to see if it was Esmeralda's ghost she was seeing from the pink room. Despite her confusion and exhaustion, she was eager to learn if what she witnessed was real. She hadn't seen the lady in white in the orchards in a long time, but she'd returned now. Why? "Where are you?"Angela yelled. "I took notice of you. And I don't think you're a ghost. Show yourself to me! " She continued to walk under the darkened trees. Some of the lamppost bulbs were blinking on and off, while others were not working. She slowed her steps as she reached the darkest part of the orchard. “You can’t scare me.” Suddenly she heard a noise from behind and a shadow of a man ran towards her and throw something at her. A stinging pain penetrated her jaw down to her neck that made her scream in pain. And then another shadow came in and hit the head of her attacker and they both fell. Angela’s vision got blurred and the last thing she

It's been four months since the attack. Angela was still shaken by what had happened to her. Her scar was visible from her chin to her shoulder. Angela spent the afternoon at the orchard, thinking about what had happened to her. Lara Chavez was still missing, and her relatives had been confronted by cops for about two months.
