20. Save me
Sapphire As promised, Chloe arrived exactly on time to pick me up. Note the sarcasm. I have been doing a marathon to my windows and the couch, occasionally sitting down to rest my legs that might require more jumping and cheering later today. She promised to be here an hour ago but I don't find any trace of her. Nor do I know what she's upto. When I gave up on her and almost decided to call it off, Chloe pinged me that she's outside my house. I heaved an exasperated sigh. "I'm leaving Juliette. Will be back by 7." "Okay. Take care. And remember, no kiss cam-" "Juliette, we didn't even plan anything for the game." "Just saying." She shrugged it off. "Don't want you airing on live TV." I rolled my eyes and stepped out of the house. I spotted Chloe's car and went straight to it and got in. "Aren't you a little too early?" I asked. "Sorry Sapphire, you know how demanding the makeup is when you're a cheerleader." She said, pouting. "I wouldn't even wish." I mumbled, as she hit o

Sean. I broke the first thing that came into my hand. I ripped my shirt off my body and threw it onto the floor. I didn't even bother bathing properly as water just ran down my back and I stayed still in my position. I was fuming with anger. I could sense that every muscle in my body was tense. The events started playing my mind and I gripped my wet hair in frustration. Bloody hell. I stopped the shower and got out of the bath room to change. I changed into a pair of track pants and didn't bother wearing a shirt. It's chilling outside but I can hardly feel anything as my whole body wet numb with the cold water. I couldn't feel my fingers nor my toes as they are still frozen with the impact. With the cold and numbness outside, the blood in my body was boiling through the veins. Every piece in my body shook with anger and my palms instantly fisted at my side. I took deep breathes to control the fury that was rasing up in me but it all went vain as the the images came flashing to

Sean I was just driving around in the city, with no clue where I was heading. I was just randomly roaming about to different parts of the city, with my roof down, masking my face in the darkness. Cool air brushed against my face and numbness overtook the features of my face. I could hardly feel anything, where I was in a position to think of nothing. Nothing. I was sick with it. Sick of comforting myself over my heart breaks. Over the lies that I fed myself. Because truth is tough to know. And tougher to accept. But I was in a position where nothing can be undone. Everything was over. Everything. I heard the ring of my cell phone, making me snap out of my thoughts. I groaned and tossed it around. The rings faded away, only to come back again. Something at my heart tells me it's important. I reached for my phone and pulled it up. Focusing my eyes on the screen, I frowned looking at the caller ID. It was an unknown number. With curiosity I answer the call. I press the speaker t

Sapphire. The thumping on the door grew louder each time. I frantically ran back and forth, kicking the things that's came to my view and trying to search some loop hole that would let me of this place. My heart was thumping in my chest and demanded shivers that ran down my spine. I never felt this scared in my entire life. They will drug me if I go now. I can't risk it. And no one can help me. I am trapped. And suddenly, the door knob of the room broke. It fell on the floor, playing loud as the whole room went silent. I slowly approached the place and went towards the door. I unconsciously went for the broken door knob when the door blasted open, to reveal three hooded figures. "You thought you would escape and we'd let you do that?" A angry voice, which I assume is of Parker's, rang into the thin air. I gulped, staying rooted in my place. In an instant, Jake came closer to me and held my forearms tightly and pressed them together. I groaned in pain and he hushed me in the ear

Sean I was already shaking with anger when Sapphire completed narrating the story. She hesitated to look into my eyes, and oddly fumbled with the sheet of the bed. "I told you to stay away from him. He was dangerous. I knew he's messing with me. But never have I ever dreamed that he would do this." "I didn't know he was dangerous..." she mumbled. "I would have never been with him if had known.." "But why did you have to be so stubborn. I tried to tell you, Nina tried to tell you, you never listen. Did you even think of the consequences?" "In my defence, you never warned me. It was just Nina and I really am guilty about not listening to her. But why are you mad at me? I thought you've forgiven me." "Forgiven you for being foolish? Yes. Forgiven you for dating Parker? No." "Wait a second there. What makes you think that I ever dated him?" She scowled. I frowned. "What do you mean?" "That's exactly what I mean. I never dated him." What?! "What? Don't give me that look.. wait, d

Sapphire "D-Dad?" Juliette asked in disbelief. Disbelief, yes. Because standing before me was my father who disowned me years ago and whom I haven't seen for months. "Juliette. Jacob." He nodded his head. I was staring at him intently. How much I longed to look at that face. How many days I just wished he would come, if not to check up on me but at least to let me meet him. Only if I knew he would turn up if I end up in hospital, I would have tried drugging myself a lot earlier. "How is she?" He asked my sister. "I'm fine." I said. He turned to Jacob and asked. "The police?" "The students have been reported. They're interrogating them. They haven't taken Sapphire's statement yet." Sean answered for him. I almost forgot he came along with my father. My father looked at him and narrowed his eyes. "Who are you to her?" oh no.. "Boyfriend." Sean said proudly. I choked on my own saliva. What the hell??!! My father glared at him and then looked back at me. Is Sean out of his

Sapphire With that I cut the call and got out of my bed. I quickly wore a good outfit that is both warm and comfy. By then, Brett arrived. Slowly sneaking out of my house, I went to his car. "You surely have your way to get things done for you." He said, moving the car. "Tell me something I don't know." I grinned. "You were not even in this city in kindergarten." "Yea, I messed up a little there." Soon, we reached Sean's house.I got down and leaned down to look at Brett. "Good bye, baby doll." I frowned. "You are not coming in?" "Unless you want my nose broken." He chuckled. I smiled. "I'll call you when I am done." "I don't think you'll need me. Sean will never risk sending you with me." I grinned and waved my hand. His car roared away as I turned around to look at Sean's house. I never knew Sean had such a huge one. It looked so handsome. I quietly moved inside and headed to his door. And slowly, like in a slow motion, I raised my fist and knocked the door. I rang

Sapphire I sucked in a deep breathe as the words left his mouth. Sean's father is no more? "Though we never talked, though I never liked him for what he was, I don't blame him. He was in love after all.. he loved her and he waited. he waited for as long as he can remember, But my mother was stubborn. I can't blame her either, she already lost her heart to someother person.." I gasped, as my mouth gaped open. "What?" He nodded. "He was her choice. When she put him forward to my grandpa, he rejected him. My mother loved her father way too much that she married unwillingly for him. But that didn't stop her from meeting her lover. She couldn't love my father, her heart was already with someone else.." I went for his rigid shoulders and felt them relax under much touch. After a few seconds, he leaned onto me. "So, that's how it happened. My life." He said. "That's about me." Tears almost pricked at the corner of my eyes looking at his futile attempt of smiling and making me feel ever

Sapphire "Seriously, you should stop calling me that around him." I said, nodding my head toward Sean who is scowling and is right behind Brett. "Who cares?" Brett said, with a dismissing look as he took the seat next to me. "I do." Sean said sitting beside me on the sofa. "And why is that?" Brett said. Sean sent him a warning look at Brett just smirked. "I can't believe you guys skipped school for me. Thank you-" "What? Who said we did it for you?"Brett said. "You.. you skipped school not for me?" "No.. what made you think that?" Brett chuckled. "Brett, drop it." Sean said, shooting him a warning glare. Brett, with amusement glistening in his eyes, turned to me. "Did he say we did it for you?" "Yes." I said, with a little doubtful look. "Brett, just shut your mouth-" Sean said. "We didn't do it for you baby doll. Sorry if he got your hopes up." Brett cut him off. "Then why did you skip school?" I asked, curiously. "Julia invited me over to her art gallery tonight. And

Sapphire Sean had his arm wrapped around me as we stepped inside the huge room. The room was glittering with Bright lights, bestowing upon the Grand Tables. A huge chandelier hung on the top of the podium, that twinkled into the room, spreading the spark across the many gentlemen and Ladies present in the room. Thick Canvases hung around the corner of each section, with many audience admiring the little piece of art. "This place looks beautiful, Sean." I said. "But, why are we here?" "Didn't figure out yet, Pretty girl?" Sean spoke into my ear. "It's my mother's art gallery." What?! I snapped my head to look at him in disbelief. "You mother's?" "Yes." he said. "Come on, lets meet her." "What?" I said. "Are you out of your head?" "Do I look so?" "How are you going to introduce me to your mom?" I asked, with a deep frown taking over my forehead. "Easy. My girl friend." "We are not in a relationship." "But we are dating, pretyy girl. That gives me enough reasons to call you my
