"You have been very rude." She corrected me. "Okay, I have been very rude but that's not the point. She knows I'm doing it for her. Why the hell can't she get that?" "I don't blame her for this, Sean. You were being unreasonable to her." "Mom, not you too. You know I care a lot about her. That's it exactly why I'm doing this." "I am not denying that you don't care about her. It's just that you care a lot about her. It's not healthy for any relationship. You are way too demanding. " "Mom, you really think it great to fight over a freaking friend?" "Exactly. It is not even a valid excuse to fight over something. Then why are you making a fuss out of it? Why can't you just let it go." "I can't mom." "Why the hell not?" "Because she is acting like miserable. She's sick." "And what is that sickness that is making you act like the world's coming to an end?" I didn't reply with the same speed I did for her past comments. "Sean." My mom breathed out. "I know you care about her. You

Sapphire As I stepped inside the house, the warmth enveloped me in its heat. The water flowed down my body, tapping against the floor as I walked. Sean, on the other hand, was not close to my condition. He was wet, yes, but not soaking wet. His clothes stuck to his body, and he might be feeling cold too but the heater in the car drew the moisture from his body for the maximum part. And, I was still looking like I took a shower but forgot to strip my clothes off. I was shuddering and Sean's huge coat over my back isn't really helping me. When we got inside, I wasn't surprised to see Julia pacing across the room with a mobile pressed to her ear. She halted when she heard the door open and gazed at us. Relief washed across her face at the look of both of us, but her worry never left her face. She mumbled something to herself as she rushed to us. "What - where did you go?" She asked, as she held my arms by her hands and rubbing against it to infinite heat into my body. "I.. I just

Sapphire I thought I'd never hear those words, considering where they're coming from. "I'm sorry." He said. His voice was low and even. In the still night that was the loudest noise. Through those words came following the expressed guilt. "I've been everything that you've blamed me of. Today, I did over react on certain things. What didn't require such adverse attitude had been handled wrong. And I'm sorry for that." "It wasn't your fault entirely. I've been unreasonable too." I said, "Can I ask you something? But you have to honest with whatever you have to say." "Proceed." "Why were you so mad at me? I know I was being unreasonable but you never speak to me like that." Sean had no answer. Though I couldn't see him, I knew he was struggling to come up with a response. "It's late, pretty girl. We'll talk tomorrow." He said. I got up from his chest. "We have to talk, Sean. And it's going to happen now. Please, I can take it. Just tell me what that matter is." "You have enough

Sean After a long time, I realised I couldn't take the smile off of my face. I felt like a huge hump on my back has been removed. My shoulders now feel lighter since I've got my weight out. I have finally confessed to Sapphire. Something that has been due for two years. For a guy like me, I should be the one that admits the feelings growing towards a girl when he realises it. But now, I don't have to go back to sleep every night thinking about not living upto my nature. I didn't regret one bit saying that to her. I know she wouldn't say that back to me because love can't happen in a few weeks. Only I am capable of falling in love with the person I just saw. Well, not that I realised it that night. The next morning, I woke up to Sapphire comfortably asleep in my arm. I carefully took her head from me and slipped off. After showering and dressing up, I left her a note on the bed side desk. Your bags are by the window. I'm down stairs, waiting for you at the breakfast table. :) Xx

Sapphire I woke up with a groan as the blazing sound of the alarm entered into my ear. I roughly ran my palm over the duvet to find my phone. When I did finally find it, I turned it off and threw my head back on the mattress. Today, I'm finally going back to school after a week. Exhaustion slowly started to kick in when I thought about all the work that I have pending. I couldn't comprehend what my brain would do to resolve the mess that I made. I slowly dragged my body up and sat up. I groaned once again and and went to the bath room. I had my time and got ready. I left my hair open because I remember Sean saying he likes it if my hair is that way. Okay, not just because of that but also that I just want it today. I quickly had my breakfast and threw my bag over my shoulder and grabbed my phone. Sean was picking me up today so I waited for him. As I waited for him, time just flew. It was fifteen minutes past the usual time he'll be here. So I called him. After several rings, he

Sapphire For a moment, I doubted if I heard him right. I can't come to a conclusion right? Sean cannot be the person he's talking about. "Sean Lanter, the guy you love, is your nightmare, Sapphire." He said I refused to comprehend what he wanted to convey. It can't be. "Are you freaking out of your mind?" I said. "How did you even think I'll buy that shit-" "I knew you wouldn't believe me, sapphire." He said. "He's got you in his spell. You don't see anything negative about him. After all, he is the guy you are in love with." I didn't care how he knew about my feelings towards Sean. The only thing that bothered me right now is how he was even thinking I would believe him. He surely has something planned and I will not fall for his crap. More over, he claims that he is Parker's brother. He can be doing it for his own revenge. "I find it rather difficult to believe what you're saying, Toby. Why wouldn't you say this if it paves a good way to take revenge from Sean? But sadly, I am

Sean I tapped my foot against the accelerator of my car. The cool air was filling the car and I smelled my own cologne in it. I was looking at the traffic signal to turn green and allow me to go past these vehicles. I sighed as I thought of what happened back there. I left the cafeteria early to deal with Parker. After finishing my business with him, I went back to the cafeteria and looked for Sapphire. She wasn't there. I checked the library and other places but she wasn't found. Nina checked the washroom but damn, she was completely out of our sight. She had history next so went there to check but surprisingly, she wasn't there. I sent her multiple message, which were obviously not answered. I later learned that she waz not in school. I was mad. I was angry too, she couldn't just skip classes and leave. She knows Parker and all are in the school and they can do anything to her and she's not bothered about it. I thought she'd go home but I wasn't sure. I didn't want to cause a

I don't know what would happen if I stay here any longer. It would be the worst choice for the both of us. "Sapphire, wait!" Sean's voice came from behind as he followed me. I hastened my steps so that he wouldn't catch up with me. It's better if we get time to think over things. We shouldn't hurry into anything at this point of time. It is crucial for the both of us and I don't want to make the mistakes that have already been done. The damage ha been caused I'm scared it'll take a lot of time to heal things back. As I exited the park, I briskly walked onto the pavement. Sean was still shouting my name and I had to hasten my speed further me. He shouldn't ask me to stay, please. I need time. I walked away to the footpath and the people around me started to take notice of me. Oh no, I don't want people to notice this. I ran onto the road and hurried to the other end, hoping they'd leave me. Hoping Sean would leave me. But, it happened in a flash.I heard a blazing sound of horn

After a few days. I was back to my home after school. I had managed to submit my projects and assignments and took the quizzes and tests that I'd missed. My grades have fallen back to normal. I was doing well in chemistry and my teacher was pretty pleased. All these days, I tried to forget everything that happened to me in the past few weeks. I succeeded in my attempts. I was good at getting over this pretty easily because I knew there wasn't any possibility of hope. Hope is merely a word that makes people trust in false beliefs. It's a barrier that stops you from moving on. All these days, I haven't caught sight of Sean. He didn't turn up to school. And he didn't call. Brett occasionally talks to me about Sean's progress in health. He was doing well. And Sean heard a different story from his family. They told them I didn't want to see his face anymore since I still hate him. I wasn't shocked at that one. He has to move on too. And maybe, his family might have gotten nothing el

No. No. No. Shit. I quickly retreated from the window and hurried to my sweater. It was lying beside my bed on the desk. I quickly grabbed it and wore it over my head. Opening my door, I ran out. I hurried down the stairs and headed to the main door. Before I opened the door, I grabbed umbrella. The water droplets fell on my face I went out. I quickly tried to open it but it wasn't. Cursing, I threw it away and ran to him. He stood there rooted to his place, as the water drenched him. I wonder how long he's been standing like that. The water dripped down his face, his clothes stuck to his body. He got rid of his bandages. "What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled on top of my voice as I approached him. I pushed him with my hands but he doesn't budge. "Are you insane? It's freezing out here!" I said, the water drenching me. He doesn't speak anything, infuriating me even more. I shake my head as the pouring becomes heavy. I catch hold of his wrist and pull him. "Get inside." I
