Kelsey didn't bother going to the kitchen to grab something to eat even though she was starving. She was too prideful to do so. Mason already took most of her pride and she wanted to keep the little amount she had left.As soon as the door to her room slammed closed, Mason entered the penthouse and let out an exasperation sigh. "You better fix this, Mason. Whatever it is you did, kindly apologize to her." Georgia said as she was sweeping the floor without even bothering to glance in his direction."How are you too sure that it was my fault?" He annoyingly asked as he plopped himself down on the couch."Is it not?" She questioned with a pointed look as she glanced at him over her shoulders."I was merely stating a fact and she misunderstood my statement. Is it too wrong to state my opinion?""Depends on whether your opinion is in the right or the wrong. You have the right to state your opinion as long as you're in the right position to do so." She reasoned out."I will never unde

Today was the day that Kelsey dreaded the most. Ella was at the penthouse once again with a rack of gowns delivered. She was preparing Kelsey for the night and helping her out with the guest lists again."Okay, who is this?" Ella asked showing a picture of a woman with fiercer look. She had a brunette hair, golden brown eyes, and pouty lips. She looked like she was in her mid-thirties."Um..." Kelsey started as she tried to recall all the people in the binder. "That's..." Then it clicked to her. "That's Marcella Polter. She's the wife of Paul Polter who owns the Hamistfield. They are very important people because they have been business partners with King Corporation for almost a decade now. They also started many branches across the globe, increasing the rate of the company." She answered.Ella smiled at her and nodded her head. "That's right! Great job!" She said placing the photo down on the centre table. They were currently in the living room and were studying the contents of

Kelsey stared at the beautiful woman in front of her. She had a very light make-up on but it made her face looked flawless and made her eyes popped. Her lips were as red as a rose and pink tainted cheeks. Her cheekbones were well-define and her hair was curled then placed into a low, yet elegant bun. She wore a simple, but exquisite red off-shoulders gown that hugged her figure. She looked gorgeous and extravagant."Are you sure it's not too much?" Kelsey asked staring at herself in the mirror once again. She couldn't even recognized the woman standing before her."You look perfect, Kelsey. Trust me." Ella beamed at her as she placed the last bobby pin in Kelsey's hair and clapped her hands in excitement. "There! We are officially done!" She declared as she stared the Kelsey's reflection in the mirror.Kelsey faced her with scrunched forehead. "I don't know if I can do this." She admitted as she finally felt the anxiousness settle at the bottom of her stomach. She placed her hand on

Kelsey was quiet the entire ride to the hotel where the ball was being held. She was staring out of the window trying to avoid any eye contact or any contact at all with Mason at all. It seemed that he was ignoring her as well since he was on his phone the entire time. When the limo came to a stop, Kelsey glanced at the other window on Mason's side where reporters were crowded around with microphones and cameras in hand. It was a good thing that the windows were tainted that nobody could see through the inside.Kelsey felt a tighten in her chest causing her to instinctively place a hand over her chest where her necklace usually was. She took a deep breath before she hyperventilate and completely lose it. "You can do this." She whispered to herself in between breaths.Mason shut his phone off and glanced at Kelsey. She was breathing in and out with her eyes closed. It was so hard for him to sit still and not grab her by the nape of her neck and kiss her senselessly. It took every fi

"You're here!" Mason said excitedly and pulled the man into one of those manly hugs with a pat on the back."Yes, Madame Delilah invited me. She said you have a surprise.""I'm sorry I didn't get to call you myself. My secretary called your assistant and said you were really busy with the deal with Global Tech." He explained himself."Don't worry about it. But remember Mason, I always find time to hang out with you and Ella.""I know and I'm grateful for that. By the way, is Chloe with you?" He asked and Kelsey wondered who Chloe was. 'Was she the girlfriend, wife, daughter?' She wondered."Yes, I booked a room upstairs because she was really tired from our travel. She's very excited to see you.""I'm excited to see her too. It's been quite a long time."Mason then remembered Kelsey and pulled her to his side. She couldn't help but think how they were so close, so comfortable with each other. She really hoped he didn't recognized her. That was the last thing she wanted to worry

"I cannot believe you, Mason Emerson King!" Kelsey heard a booming voice from outside her room. She slowly got up from the bed and grabbed the robe laying on the sofa chair. She wrapped the robe around herself and tightened the knot for she was only wearing a fitted crop top and short-shorts."How can you not tell us that you're getting married?!" The loud, yet gentle voice yelled once again which only brought Kelsey's curiosity to peak. She walked towards the door and leaned closer to it, placing her ears beside it. She knew it was wrong to eavesdrop but she couldn't help herself."Can we please talk about this in a calmly matter?" Kelsey heard Mason replied which seemed to only fired up the situation."Calmly matter?! We're talking about marriage here, Mason!""Ow." Mason muttered and Kelsey thought he was probably hit by the aggressive and angry woman. She couldn't hold herself anymore as she slowly opened the door and peeked through it. She could see a woman's beautiful figure

When Kelsey followed after Mason, she only heard the water running from the bathroom. She assumed that he probably needed some time alone so she decided to take a plain blue shirt and a pair of black shorts on Mason's side of the room and placed it on the hanger. She then placed the hanger on the hook by the mirror so that Mason would see it after he showered.Kelsey sighed and left the room to check on their guests. It wasn't very polite to leave their guests unattended. When she was downstairs, she saw the bellhop again, now dragging the cart out of the house with the luggages still on it."You're not staying?" Kelsey asked in wonder earning Victoria's attention."I'm afraid we're not, sweetheart. Not today at least." She responded as Kelsey nodded in understanding. It was not a good idea if they stayed anyway since the tension was still thick in the room. "How's he?" She questioned referring to Mason.Kelsey shot her a tight smile before replying. "I think he just needs some ti
