Chapter 46
Alex rounded the corner only to stop in his tracks, gaping at the opened door leading to the living room he’d left Josh in. He slowly took a step, eyes fluttering over the chaos breaking loose before him.
The red ball of fury was back in action, bouncing off walls with all the vigour of the children’s toy, Amber’s screams echoed throughout the space, Alex cringing at the pitch of her voice. Hunter was wedged into a concrete wall, legs stabbed through the wooden floor boards whilst Josh ran around with a monkey one his head? Alaster was barely able to keep a form, reduced to phasing matter of flesh and Luca was still a stick.
The tempt was so incredibly strong to turn and walk back to Xavier but knowing he could at least make Xavier feel better was enough to drive him into the chaos. Xavier would definitely handle this situation better than he ever could.
