CHAPTER 32

Isaiah's eyes were still closed as tears streamed down from his eyes. She sat down beside him without taking her gaze away from him.

Seeing him that way, a part of her heart melted. She wondered what happened to his mother that made the arrogant and cold man cry, must have been hurtful.

She took her hand to his face again and wiped off his tears slowly caressing his face.

This act of hers calmed him a bit and the hold he had on her hand softened but he never let go.

Zoey didn't remove her hand too as she saw the comfort he felt while holding her hand. He is indeed suffering a lot.

She sighed deeply and stayed with him throughout the night.

The next morning...

Isaiah was the first to open his eyes. He stared awake for a while before he realized what was going on.

It was morning already. Did he sleep? How come it's morning without him knowing when the sun rose?

He has never slept that way for many years. The memory of what happened wasn't forthcoming and that was even baffling. He
