Mia's POV

The sun hung low in the sky, casting a warm, golden glow over the city as I sat in the cozy corner of a café, sipping on a steaming cup of coffee. It had been a long day, and I welcomed the chance to unwind and gather my thoughts.

Across from me, my best friend, Emma, fidgeted with her cup, her eyes darting around nervously. There was a weight on her shoulders, something she had been holding back, and I could sense it in the tension that radiated from her.

"Emma, what's been bothering you?" I finally asked, unable to ignore the unspoken turmoil any longer.
