Chapter Sixty-One – Captured

Zion’s POV

The patrol car sped past the police headquarters and I gaped at the man next to me. “Why didn’t we go in?” He flashed his teeth at me, but it was the evil look in his eyes that made me frown. I checked him out and gasped, realizing that his uniform was totally fake. The guy was no police officer! Panic settled in my heart as I looked at the other three occupants in the car. They all looked more like criminals than cops.

“Because you’re going to meet our boss!” said the one near me with a golden tooth peeking at me.

“F*ck you! I should have known!” I tried the door, desperate to jump out. How could I be so careless? When my bodyguards were missing, I should have sensed foul play.

All of them couldn’t be unavailable at the same time! I hadn’t given it much thought since I would be escorted by the cops. I placed my hand inside my pocket and switched on my phone. At least the cops would know my location.
