A Price to Pay

Emily’s POV

Dan told me to meet him at the Tulips hotel. I made sure I did an investigation on that hotel before I went there. It was pretty easy to find out that the hotel was owned by Dan. It had only been opened two weeks ago and this was within the time I spoke with him last.

I reached the receptionist’s desk and did as I had been instructed.

”Room 114. That man is waiting for me…” I told the receptionist clearly. Dan had told me to use this code and the receptionist would understand immediately. She nodded and gave me a key. With this, I moved forward. Using the elevator, I arrived at Room 114. I opened the door with the key but I met an empty space in the room.

“Dan!” I exclaimed. “Are you in here?”

“The toilet!” I heard him shout back out of nowhere. “Give me five minutes and I will be through. Wait for me and make yourself comfortable.”
