Anna’s POV

“But I don’t feel like making a baby!” I told him boldly. “I just want to be a working class woman and you are robbing me of my innocence. We should work when others are working, dear. Stop this now!”

“I will…” Smith replied. “Speaking about babies, when…”

“It won’t be now, Smith,” I interrupted hastily. “Stop putting me on the spot, darling. Both of us talked about this a long time ago and we had an agreement. I am still getting used to this life. Let’s wait for a year or two and then we can have children. It should never be before that.”

“I think I understand but things are unpredictable, okay. No man knows when death would snatch him away. My father did not live long and my grandfather did not exist till old age. Both of them are typical examples. I don’t pray to end up like them but life can be unpredictable. I don’t want to die without a heir. A year or two is fine since you are a big help here in the company but it should not exceed the period…” Smith told me shortly.
