Anna’s POV

I could feel my heart jumping out of my chest already. I had thought of a lot of things in that same moment.

“I left my hateful stepmother and my less-capable father and got married to the love of my life with no expectations that my life would be cut short after I defied his wants and forged my way into having a career. The man aimed for my heart so I would be unable to survive…”

But the bullet never touched me. The car was bullet proof so the bullet could not get in. I was so glad when I saw this. I felt like running into the hands of Smith but it was very unusual that he had not asked me if I was fine. I let this go as we waited for the security personnel to come over.
