New Recruits

Anna’s POV

This was a very big decision for me. I had the best of the best bodyguards in the world with me but it would lay in my hands to pick someone who would stand by me in life and death. It had to be somebody worthy. Such a person had to be ready to die for me and with me as the circumstances allowed.

“I guess you are having a hard time. Would you like to tap into my inner intelligence? I am wiser than you can imagine…” the manager told me shortly. I was determined to wave this off. I would not be influenced by whatever he said.

“I think this has to do with me more than with you!” I exclaimed. “I will make a befitting decision so just stand down and watch me.”

“Do it your way,” the manager replied. I could visibly tell that he felt bad by how I was counting him out of such a fun activity. I simply smiled and decided to make him feel good.

“Tell me who I should eliminate first among all four of them. I need to eliminate two, you know…” I said to him carefully. I could see him smi
