Anna’s POV

Since Smith was proving difficult to talk with, I was going to act the same way. I would not continue to talk with someone that was stuck in his belief.

“I won’t run away anymore…” I told him boldly. “If you want me to be with my bodyguards, I will be with them. It is much better than to be with you who can’t understand a joke or who considers himself unworthy. You have no self-confidence at all.”

“It is fine, girl. Do as you wish!” he exclaimed. I had never seen Smith so angry and ridiculous. I was hurt and a tear trickled out of my eyes. I cleaned it off and sat back at the dining room. One of the maids came to serve me breakfast. I was angry and food was not on my mind at all. I could destroy things here.

“Take it away,” I told the maid gently. I was really trying to hold in my anger. She didn’t offend me and I should not act in anger against her.

“I am sorry but you need to eat. Do not think about…” the maid was telling me. This irritated me but she did not realize this
