Anna’s POV

I could sense that the facial expression on Smith’s face was not his best. It was quite strange and I stopped laughing the moment I realised that he might be annoyed with the procedures I applied but he should be sensible enough to take me in after everything I had done.

“So, it was all fake!” Smith exclaimed. “I am truly disappointed in you, Anna. How could you stoop so low to this point. You should do better!”

“What do you expect me to do when you keep on frustrating me?!” I shouted at him angrily. “All I made was a harmless joke and you have taken it so seriously. You say I stooped so low but isn’t it right? I am better than you who sabotages my plans to mend us. I thought you loved me, Smith. I know the truth now. This is a one-sided relationship. I was the only one worried about our misunderstanding. You do not care about me since you have all the wealth to chase after girls!”
