Chapter 24

The drive to the office was quick, without my phone I looked out the window enjoying the view of the city.

We arrived then I paid the driver then looked around as a safety measure before I stepped into the office.

I could feel the usual buzz of people rushing around, phones ringing, and keyboards clacking. It was just another morning, the herb had really helped ease my headache and I was ready to dive into my tasks for the day. My boss spotted me as I walked in.

"Zeta, good morning," he greeted me with a warm smile.

"Good morning sir, I am very sorry for coming in late" I apologized quickly.

"No no it's fine, I heard about your accident over the weekend. Are you feeling alright?"

I nodded, appreciating his concern. "Thank you, sir. I'm fine, just a few bruises. Nothing serious. I'm ready to get back to work."
