Prologue:

Oh snap, in a fit, Arya squeezed the muffins into her mouth, as she walked hurriedly down the hospital hall, her hands fiddling with the flowers, the stench was great, and at least, it hadn’t lost its scent.

She made a mental list of what she was going to do, first she would visit her elder sister, Samantha, who worked as a doctor in the hospital, and them, she would visit her boyfriend who was sick, she sighed heavily, maybe, she could talk with her sister later, she just had to see Kelvin, and ask, if he was okay.

Countless times, she ran down the hall, and then walked, the pain of seeing him sick troubled her heart effectively, as she strode the doors, room 15, room 26, no, that wasn’t his room.

In a fit, to see him; she walked past the doors, until she had a shrill laugh.

"Who does that Arya thinks she is?"

She stopped in her steps, and retreated down to the door, placing her ear on the door. Was that her name? It might be some coincidence?

"I don’t love her, I love you."

That voice, it sounded so familiar, it was Kelvin’s.

Her hands trembled slightly, as she maintained her breathing.

"Tell me, Kelvin, do you like Arya?" The cheeky voice boomed out again.

Arya’s hand trembled, as she listened, was there something about that voice that she couldn’t fathom, it sounded familiar, a voice really close to her.

“She’s isn’t pretty, just look at her, she is a wrench.” A devilish laugh was heard next.

Arya stayed still, unable to move, she was being betrayed, right in front of her own eyes, in front of the man she treasured.

"When are you going to tell her that we are getting married?"

Arya choked, as she gasped, keeping her voice down. Kelvin was getting married? To whom? She couldn’t believe her own ears, Kelvin, was it another Kelvin?

“I don’t know yet.” The voice sounded rather tired, “I am trying to make her will her estate down to my hand, we would be even richer, she’s gullible, let’s play her a little more.”

The voice was different than the way Kelvin always talked to her, he talked to her with so much love, warmth, was that all fake? Was it never true? All this while, she had thought her life would be different because she had someone she loved.

But, in the end, she was just being played? As she worthless in his eyes?

Her eyes fiddled with anger, and her veins threatened to pop out, anger replaced her current mood.

She couldn’t take it anymore, so she twisted the door knob, entering the ward.

Kelvin with bulged eyes, gazed up at her, as he managed to lift his head from the pillow.

"Arya, did you just arrive? Anna’s keeping me company, I have been really tired."

Arya trailed her eyes to her best friend, Anna, so Anna was this evil, and she had no idea?

She managed a curt smile, "I just arrived." Her voice was coarse.

Anna gave her a friendly smile, "You are so nice, Arya. Kelvin is lucky to have you,"

Arya sneered. Lucky to have you? After all, she had done for them; they were betraying her and even acting like they cared for her.

People like this aren’t even meant to exist.

"I heard you were willing to give Kelvin your estate,"

Arya gazed up at them, her voice shrill. "I changed my mind."

Their face paled.

Anna panicked, and she waved her hands up in the air, her eyes widening. "What are you talking about, you two will soon be married, whatever belongs to you, will become his."

Arya cringed her head, tilting it to a side, a mocking voice. "I don’t think that will be possible anymore."

"What do you mean?" Kelvin raised his voice, laced with panic.

She walked towards the other side of the room, trying her best not to burst into tears.

"I don’t want to go on with this relationship."

Anna snapped, her head feeling dizzy all of a sudden. "He loves you, are you thinking of-"

“Shut up!” Arya’s face lit up with anger, and she turned towards Kelvin. "I am done with you." Her voice was dark, rather superior.

"Are you out of your mind?" Anna stood up, raising her hand up in the air.

"I know you guys are getting married. I know everything," Her voice trembled, as she managed to say.

She wasn’t going to act weak, never was she?

She gazed at them, her eyes blaring with anger, does anger overcome heartbreak?

Either still, she was about to find out.

Anna laughed, somewhat mockingly. "He doesn’t love you. We are getting married." Her voice was way different now, no warmth, no love, just pure hatred, and jealousy.

"Oh. I know." She stared at Kelvin and peered at him. "And, you are not getting any of my estate."

Anna laughed, holding Kelvin’s hand. "You feel sad; don’t be coy to admit it."

Arya inhaled in and out, the tears threatening to fall down; she sniffled, as she muttered. "I am done with you, you wrench." She yelled loudly, as she fiddled with the flowers, crunching it down into pieces.

"I don’t love you." Kelvin said, and she widened her eyes,

Kelvin. The man she had always loved, was telling her he didn’t love her back? And her friend, she had known all the way from childhood was making it all worse.

"I won’t certainly be seeing you guys in the nearest future. I see you are getting married. Have a nice wedded life in advance.” The flowers dropped to the floor, as she made a snort.

Walking to the door, she twisted the door knobs, and gazing at them deathly, she left the room hurriedly.

As she ran through the hall, the tears fell down like a dam, sniffing continuously, she ran.

"Arya, Arya, what’s going on?" Her sister trailed behind her, but she didn’t care.

She still ran.

The tears falling down.
