44- "Getting back..."

It was awkward because we were traveling together, facing each other, but nobody was talking, and silence completely filled the atmosphere.

"I'm so sorry, General Manager," I spoke first, and I meant that.

He only crossed his arms and remained silent.

"We missed our supposed scheduled flight and this was, I think, the reason why you had to resort to paying for a private flight like this which I am so sure many times costs higher than the commercial one. It was my fault. If it weren't because of me, you wouldn't need to be spending much for air travel."

He looked at me expressionlessly. "It's alright. Don't mind it."

I just sighed. He didn't seem to take this as a really big deal because maybe paying for expensive things wasn't a big deal for him at all most of the time.

"Just do your work properly as my secretary and don't cause any pain in my a$$ when we get there, you got it?"
