The humans wanted them to get pregnant so they could be subjected to the most terrible experiments. Their unborn pups would be ripped from them at every stage of their development just so the humans could study the fetus. If the poor little Pup managed to survive it was then going to be subjected to further dreadful experimentation that would send their Mothers insane with pain and grief. The humans did not know that captured female Werewolves would not conceive, they had a genetic preposition that prevented pregnancy occurring through rape.
