I should have known that ignoring him was only going to make him furious.

But I didn’t know he would be furious enough to leave the office.

He chose me over the office.

“Anastasia, who’s that?” Kendra asks.

“It’s Jim” I say

“I’ll leave you two to it. Will you be okay?” She asks.

“Yea I will” I smile at her.

She leaves the sitting room and heads back into the room.

“Do you want to break down my apartment, Jim?” The words flowing freely from my mouth.

“Anastasia, where did you drop your fucking phone, I’ve been trying to reach you since yesterday” he says, but he doesn’t sound angry, he sounds displeased.

“I don’t have to answer to you Jim, we’re not together anymore” I say and just when I’m about to close the door on his face, he says

“I love you Anastasia, don’t shut me out. Please”.

The words soften my heart, and I knew I wasn’t strong enough to let him go. So I let him in instead.

“Come in” I mutter.

He walks into the house and sits on the sofa, and he taps on the sofa beside him, g
