Chapter 49.

“Umm it says pregnancy with a plus and every other test with a minus. What does that mean?” I ask the nurse, hoping that I wasn't seeing well or hoping that I didn't understand what a plus sign means.

“Ma'am, it means that every other test is negative and pregnancy is positive, you're pregnant” she tells me

My heart drops in my stomach hearing the words “you're pregnant”

I pinch myself, trying to wake myself up from this dream, hoping it's not my reality.

“Ma'am I assume that this was not planned, I'm sorry” she says and gently rubs my palm

All I do is nod because I'm afraid that if I say anything, I'll let my tears out, and I'm not trying to look for any more sympathy

“Please don't consider abortion” she smiles.

I smile back and leave the office.

Kendra pulls me into a hug immediately she sights me and I try my possible best not to cry, but I cry.

I cry on her shoulders and I don't stop.

“Everything is going to be okay Anastasia, we're going to walk through this together” she mutters
