Men don't cry

Stepping out of the car, she adjusted the black scarf around her face as she walked to the two storey building in front of her. It was dark and the whole place was as calm as a graveyard.

Walking to the door, she rang the bell. She stood for a few seconds waiting for the door to be opened. The door opened after a few seconds and she could see a plumpy short brown skin woman standing in front of the door, dressed in a pink coloured cotton dress.

"How may I help you, madam?" The lady asked immediately.

"Um..I'm.. I'm here to see the Thompsons," she replied.

"Oh, the whole family is in the backyard. They're throwing an engagement party," the lady revealed in excitement.

She forced a smile on her face and nodded.

"Um..okay, please take me to the backyard," she requested and the lady made a nod.
