Anthony was standing over Cathy with a hand pressed on her forehead and his brows knitted together as he took her temperature. Maggie watched from beside the desk with a worried expression.

“Well?” Cathy asked Anthony impatiently. She was tired of lying down. She was tired of everything, she just wanted to close her eyes and drift off into a deep slumber. Maybe when she got out of it she wouldn’t feel so fatigued anymore.

“How do you feel?” Anthony asked her.

“You tell me. You’re the doctor.”

He smiled good-naturedly. There was nothing alarming about the shape-shifting doctor. “What are your symptoms besides feeling tired and so weak all the time?”

“I get tired a lot and I can’t stop feeling so hungry all the time.” Cathy's eyes shot to Maggie. “And that’s unusual for me.”

Maggie nodded her agreement.

“Was this before or after the recent abduction?”

“Somewhere in between I think. I can’t really say how long I got these symptoms all I do know is I can’t seem to get enough to eat and sl
