The weekend getaway was ruined for me, and for the next couple of days, Charles and I barely spoke, but then something dramatic happened. It was all screams and quarrels when Anna caught Steve cheating with an attendant at the beach house.

The confrontation between Anna and Steve unfolded with raw intensity that left everyone in the room stunned. Anna’s accusations hung in the air like a heavy fog, and Steve, rather than showing remorse or guilt, adopted a nonchalant attitude that only fueled the fire of the quarrel.

As Anna’s voice trembled with anger and hurt, Steve stood there, almost indifferent to the gravity of the situation. His nonchalant demeanor was like a slap in the face for accountability for the betrayal she had just discovered. Finally, she had a taste of her own medicine.

“You cheated on me, Steve! Right here, on our supposed romantic getaway!” Anna’s words quivered with a mix of fury and heartbreak, her eyes red and puffy from the tears she had shed already.
