I bit my fingers as I waited patiently for Charles to come downstairs . Suddenly, it felt as if time was slower than ever today. Countless sighs left my lips as I stared at the door.

When Charles finally came into the dinning room, his brows furrowed and lips were thinned, I could tell that something wasn’t right with him which makes two of us. He glanced at me , and concern crept into his eyes.

“Is everything alright, Megan?” He asked, pulling out a chair.

I took a deep breath, trying to calm my nerves. “Charles, we need to talk,” I said, my voice shaky.
