THIRTY | The Announcement

The Alpha was in a meeting, so we waited outside the meeting hall. Kate ordered them to tie me up just in case I decided to run away and I found that odd. I was sure she knew I could not run away even if I wanted to because that would be me asking for death.

"Make her kneel" she ordered and the guards made me kneel in front of her.

There was silence as I listened carefully to the meeting going on in the hall. Hearing the Alpha's voice made me remember our conversation and my lips curved into a smile.

The meeting was taking longer than Kate expected cause I could see the impatient look on her face. She began to pace around the hall, groaning slightly.

"I did not know the meeting was going to take this long" she muttered, brushing her hair backward.

She should have thought about that because bringing me here. I thought.

"Guards, lock her up in the cell until the Alpha is ready to punish her" she ordered and I stared at her.
