Ella Williamson...

I sat on top of the covers with my back pressed against the headboard and watched the old man look through his suitcase.

"How are you feeling, Mrs. Smith?" The old man asked.

It still felt weird to be called by Elijah's last name.

When I didn't give the old man a reply, he turned his eyes to me.

"Mrs. Smith?" The doctor called out again and I nodded my head.

The old man pushed his large glasses up the bridge of his nose with his pointing finger before he stepped closer to the bed.

For the next hour, the old man examined every single cut and every single bruise. He took the order Elijah gave seriously and made sure that there was nothing seriously wrong with me.

" Your cuts will heal and your bruises will go away on there own." The doctor commented. "You don't seem to have any broken bones, which is a miracle. I saw the car you were in and I was very worried you might be in a bad condition." He added.

I nodded my head again.

"You're going to need a lot of rest
