Chapter 32 (Part 1)

SOMETHING soft and wet brushing on her shoulder woke up Lyzza. She groaned softly and hugged her pillow even more.

“Strawberry, it’s eight. You should eat first.”

She pushed that thing that kept brushing against her skin even though it was giving her a satisfying feeling. “I still want to sleep,” she said in a hush voice.

“You can go back to bed after you eat. Come on, it’s a long day for you. You can’t sleep with an empty stomach,” said by the familiar raspy baritone.

Lyzza ignored him, and instead she shifted her position on the bed, rolling to the other side while pulling the comforter up to warm herself. That voice didn’t bother her again but she felt someone caressing her hair gently, pulling herself from the depths of sleepiness.

When she blinked awake, the first things she noticed were the skyscrapers that could be seen through the glass window. The lights in the bedroom were off which made her able to sleep better.
