CHAPTER 106

“My God!” I exclaimed, my heart racing. I dropped the statue on the floor by my side, I mentally facepalmed myself, realizing my mistake of course it was William swimming in the dark. Classic!

“Why didn’t you put on a light or something, I thought maybe someone had broken in.”

“Oh aren't you the brightest,” he snorts sarcastically. “Why would someone break in here to take a swim in the pool when there are loads of expensive valuable items littered around the house.”

“How was I supposed to know that? I haven’t never broken into someone’s home before so you can’t blame me for trying to protect myself.” I replied defensively.

“And you just had to pick one of my antique statues as a weapon?” He asks.

“Of course, it makes a good weapon and it’s heavy, you should thank your stars I didn’t throw that thing at you,” I replied pointing at the statue on the floor. I bent down and picked it up, placing it down on one of the lounge chairs so I wouldn’t break it accidentally. “And why are you even
