Chapter 4

Alfonso's henchmen tightened their grip on their weapons, ready to strike at any moment. "You're a good actor, I'll give you that, but you can't fool me. I've been in this business long enough to recognize my enemies." Alfonso said,

The atmosphere in the room grew tense, the tension palpable. Craig's mind skipped for a possible escape, a way out of this nightmarish situation. But as Alfonso's menacing gaze bore into him, he knew that running wasn't an option. He had to rely on his wit and hope for a miracle.

Just as Alfonso was about to give the order to attack, the hospital intercom crackled to life. "Code Blue, Code Blue! All available staff report to the emergency department immediately."

Alfonso's henchmen hesitated, torn between their loyalty to him and their duty to the hospital. Sensing the distraction, Craig seized the opportunity. In one swift motion, he lunged towards the nearest window, crashing through the glass and plummeting a storiy to the ground below,

As he hit the cold pavement, pain shot through his body, but he managed to pushed forward. He stumbled to his feet, ignoring the searing ache, and disappeared into the dark In the hospital,

Meanwhile, Alfonso and his trusted alley, and henchmen had disappeared without traces,

A while later, Craig quietly left the hospital, and he went to Angela's house In the middle of the night,

Angela was surprised to see him but she believes that questions Is unnecessary, she took him In, took care of his fresh Injuries, and she led him to the bedroom where he laid on the bed fearfully,

In the morning, Angela called Sam, and she explained to him all that happened, and Sam later came to visit him In the morning, “how are you doing now?“ he asked,

“I believed that I will be fine, but this man that was after me Is my major problem, I'm no longer safe In this village again” Craig said,

“I don't think they can come to this village, have faith that you are saved” Sam said,

“Stay In my house, we will later figure out something or a safe place later, but with present conditions, we can't resolve any problems because the atmosphere Is still tensed” Angela said,

“You are right Angela, Craig Is still very sick and weak, he needs to be cared for, just let him stay with you, whatever I have, I will be supporting you with It” Sam said,

“Thank you, Sam, thanks Angela” Craig said,

Angela mobbed his body with hot water while Sam went to the grocery' shop, and a few hours later, Sam came back with groceries and beverages, a while later, Sam left,

A week later, there was a rumors that some henchmen came to the village searching for Craig, and people In the village became worried, and suspicious of Craig that he might be dealing with shady activities, and the villager started Investigating Craig, and they wanted to hand him over to the police,

Meanwhile, Angela and Craig had falling In love with each other, and again, Craig lives In Angela's house seeking refuge,

Two months later, Sam came to Angela's house with the hint that police might be after Craig because, the villagers are digging about his past, and what suddenly brought him to the village many years after the death of his mom, and the sudden disappearance of his twin brother, the villagers believes that Craig might Involved In criminal activities,

Craig became worried about villagers thoughts about him, and he became a ghost in the village's underbelly. He relied on his survival instincts, constantly looking over his shoulder, never staying in one place for too long. He knew that Alfonso would never give up his pursuit, and the villager will never stopped their Investigation, and he believes that police might act on wrong Information,

Angela looked at Craig with concern as they walked through the narrow streets of the nearby village. She had hoped that moving to this small apartment would help Craig find some peace of mind, but it seemed like his worries were far from over."Craig, I know this is a big change for you, but I truly believe it's for the best," Angela said gently, trying to reassure him.

Craig sighed and looked around at the quaint houses and friendly faces of the villagers. "I appreciate what you're doing for me, Angela. But I can't help but feel like a ghost here, I seems like I don't belong." Craig said,

Angela stopped and turned to face him, her eyes filled with determination. "You do belong, Craig. You just need to give it a chance. I promise you, things will get better."

Craig's gaze softened as he looked at Angela. He knew she had always been his biggest supporter, both in his boxing career and in life. "I trust you, Angela. I just... I can't stop thinking about my boxing career. It feels like a part of me has been left behind." Craig said,

Angela took Craig's hand in hers and squeezed it gently. "I understand, Craig. And I won't let you give up on your dreams. We'll find a way to make it work here, I promise. But for now, let's focus on getting you settled and finding some peace of mind." Angela explained,

They arrived at the small apartment, and Angela showed Craig around. It was cozy and filled with light, a perfect place for them to start anew. Craig couldn't help but feel a glimmer of hope as he looked around,

"I've also been doing some research," Angela said, a hint of excitement in her voice, "There's a small boxing gym in this village, Craig. It might not be as fancy as the ones you're used to, but it could be a start. Maybe you could train there and get back into the ring." Angela said,

Craig's eyes widened in surprise. "You found a boxing gym here? That's incredible, Angela! I didn't think I'd be able to continue my career so soon." Craig said,

Angela smiled warmly. "I knew how much it meant to you, Craig. And I'll do everything I can to help you get back on track. We're in this together, remember?" Angela said,

Craig nodded, feeling a newfound sense of hope. "Thank you, Angela. You've always believed in me, even when I didn't believe in myself." Craig said,
