Chapter 10:  Who Is He?

As the Ferrari stops by the roadside, Prisley leans motionlessly against the window, tears in her eyes, staring blankly ahead.

Seeing Prisley's grief, Mark is hurt to the core. The girl he cares about has been bullied, and he wants to drive back and teach the couple a lesson.

Mark hits the steering wheel hard. The loud "bang" wakes Prisley from her daze.

"Home already? Thanks for bring me back, Mark." She says quickly, wiping away her tears and unbuckling her seat belt.

Mark escorts her to the entrance gate. Seeing her fragile demeanor, his heart softens.

He takes her by the shoulders and turns her around, "Prisley, I don't want to know what happened between you and that man, but I will not allow you to be taken advantage of and mistreated. If there is a problem, just let me know. I'll work it out."

Prisley looks up at the concern and worry in his light blue eyes, and feels a surge of emotion. It feels so good to be cared for.
