Chapter 33: Heartbreaking

Prisley temporarily disappeared from everyone's sight.

She slept most of the day. When she woke up, the sun was already setting.

There was a soft knock on the door, and Mark walked in. "Feeling better? You should eat something." He always had that charming smile on his face.

Prisley remembered she hadn't even had dinner yesterday.

Mark gestured for the waiter to bring in the food cart.

But Prisley really had no appetite. "Can I skip it?" she asked.

"You can't live on air alone. Even fairies need to drink dew." Mark took her hand and helped her sit up.

"For the baby, you need to eat well." He brushed her long hair back. Hearing that, Prisley didn't resist anymore.

Mark sat beside her, watching with satisfaction as she obediently ate, as if he were the one enjoying the meal.

"What's the situation outside?" Prisley asked while eating.

"I've had the news blocked. Only a few people know what happened after you left."
