Chapter 37: Blood Money?

In the video, Prisley sat on the couch clutching a teddy bear, with Mark by her side. Across from them were a few plainclothes officers.

"I waved the knife at him, not sure if I cut him. I'd never used such a thing, and my hands were shaking badly."

"But then, I felt a warm, sticky liquid spray on me, smelling awful. I realized it was his blood."

"I had cut him. I followed through with my plan, but I was both happy and scared. I had killed someone! A living, breathing person..."

Prisley sobbed into her hands, pulling at her hair. Her voice trembled, her breathing erratic as she teetered on the edge of a breakdown from the horrific memories.

Heather felt a pang of pain. Those bastards! Why make her relive it? How much courage did it take for her to face that day again?

"I was covered in blood. It was disgusting. I didn't know what to do, so I just pushed him away to keep him off me. Eventually, he got stiff and cold on me. I used all my strength to shove him out of the car."
