Tears filled Elise's eyes and her heart began beating rapidly in her chest. It was thumping so loudly that she thought Damien would hear it, not like that was possible.

"Oh my God," Elise whispered in astonishment. "I can't believe this, I didn't expect this,"

"It's a surprise, you aren't supposed to expect it. However, you should've known that I wanted to spend my life with you and to do that, I need to make you my wife," Damien declared with a hopeful smile.

"So, Elise Sinclair, will you become my wife and spend eternity with me?" Damien asked.

"Of course, I'll marry you," Elise chuckled, extending her hand. "It's a big yes from me,"

Damien exhaled sharply and a broad smile spread across his lips. He retrieved the ring from the engagement box and wore it on her finger.

He quickly kept the box in his pocket and rose to his feet. Elise drew him into her embrace and crashed her lips on his. She didn't care if her lipstick smeared.
