Chapter 27: A Day with Them

Callum went to fetch the two early in the morning but as soon as the door opened, he saw Bea whose hair was still wet, and his son who seemed to have just gotten out of bed. He checked his wristwatch and wondered whether his clock was not properly working but he realized that it was not.

It was already eight in the morning. They were supposed to be all dressed up and prepared but they were not.

Caleb walked towards Bea and took the towel that the woman had in her hands.

“I told you that I can take a bath alone. Don’t worry, I’ll wipe my hair thoroughly this time,” his son said in a sleepy voice. He went on his way towards the bathroom without even looking at him.

“I apologize for this. I forgot to set the alarm clock.” Bea opened the door wider and invited him to enter.

Callum just nodded and made himself comfortable on the couch. He looked at Bea who busied herself in the kitchen area so he stood up and walked t
