Chapter 26: Stay Indoors II
“Are you awake?” Bea smiled when she saw Caleb walk out of the bed. She moved her to the bed after 30 minutes of being asleep since she wanted to prepare snacks for him.
“Miss Bea…” Caleb stretched out his hand to her again so Bea carried him.
“I cooked pancakes. Shall we have some?” Bea asked with a sheepish grin.
Caleb smiled and nodded. “I love pancakes!”
“Then let’s eat!” Bea put him down on the chair and prepared the pancakes on the table.
“It smells delicious!” Caleb giggled as he smelled the pancakes.
“But it would be more delicious if you eat it.” Bea started to cut the pancakes into small pieces before she gave the plate to Caleb.
“Yes!” Caleb picked up his fork and stuffed his mouth with the bite-sized pancake dipped in maple syrup. “This is so good!”
